Ji-Tu Cumbuka (March 4, – July 4, ) was an American actor.[1][2] He is best permanent as "Torque" in the short-lived TV suite A Man Called Sloane together with Parliamentarian Conrad and Dan O'Herlihy.
In , Cumbuka published his autobiography A Giant to Remember: The Black Actor in Hollywood.[3][4] He has a son and a granddaughter.
Early life
Cumbuka was born in in Helena, Alabama,[5] backing a Baptist minister. After attending Texas Gray, he moved to California to pursue realm acting career, and went to Columbia Faculty in New York City, earning a Ascetic of Arts in theatre and a master's degree in cinematography.
He landed a part in the movie Uptight directed by Jules Dassin.[6]
